my journey to becoming a sound healer

Once upon a time before the pandemic changed everything, I went to sound baths all over the Denver metro area. At my first gong bath with Gary Fishman I felt like I traveled back in time and witnessed the Big Bang. It was wild and I was hooked. I went to big events with 75+ people in a room and experienced a private sound ceremony in a healer's home studio. I didn't know the science behind sound healing, I knew how I felt during and after events. Sound takes us to altered states of consciousness much like a psychedelic. It changes brain waves and helps us to reset our default mode network. A vibrational reboot.
During this time I taught yoga and played my one singing bowl at the end of classes and insisted I would not buy more instruments!!
Then the world shut down and sound events were gone. Local yoga studios were closed temporarily or in some cases for good. I missed my events and decided to buy 3 crystal singing bowls. I had friends over for a Solstice dinner and with candles illuminating the house we took turns playing. Within a week I purchased 5 more bowls, I know owned a complete set of pitch perfect 432hz crystal singing bowls. I kept them in my bedroom and played almost daily. I was content to play for myself and occasionally for friends.
Then my sister came to visit. She played my bowls once and declared she was going to get some and host sound baths!! She provided the push I needed to begin to offer sound ceremonies. If she felt confident after one time playing surely I could after months of practice.
Fast forward and I have been offering monthly new and full moon workshops for 3 1/2 years at a local yoga studio. I have studied gong therapy, took a 9 month course on Shamanic Sound Healing and feel confident in my workshop offerings.
I want to invite you to experience my sound ceremonies. I combine ritual, guided journey meditation and sound for a magical experience.
